Vitamins for weight loss

B vitamins are essential to having a healthy metabolism and a healthy metabolism aids in weight loss. The best B vitamins for helping out your metabolism are B-12 and B-6 but B-1 and B-5 are beneficial as well. The main function of most B vitamins is to help your body metabolize carbs, fats, and proteins.

Vitamins for glowing skin

While a good skin-care routine plays an important role in clear skin, a nutrient packed diet can work wonders in helping you achieve that clear, glowing skin you’ve always wanted. Some of the best vitamins for great skin are Vitamin E, biotin, and fish oil. Vitamin E is one of the most common ingredients in many skin-care products because it has moisturizing and healing benefits and helps strengthen skin barrier function. Biotin aids in the reproduction of new skin cells. Fish oil regulates oil production to boost hydration and help fight off acne and also delays the skin’s aging process to help avoid premature wrinkles. Biotin is also in the B vitamin group. I personally take a fish oil supplement daily and have noticed a difference in how much more hydrated my skin is. The one I use is by the brand Spring Valley and can be found at Walmart.

Vitamins for healthy, beautiful hair

Many of us strive for hair that is shiny, long and strong. Certain hair masks and oils or treatments can help us achieve this goal but at the end of the day you may still be left with dry, brittle hair if you’re lacking the proper vitamins and nutrients. Vitamin A is key in having shiny hair. It helps our skin cells produce sebum, which moisturizes the scalp and keeps hair shiny and healthy. Biotin is also important for growing hair because it helps create red blood cells which are responsible for getting oxygen and important nutrients to the scalp to nourish the growing follicles.

Fun fact: Hair is the fastest growing tissue in the human body

Overview: B vitamins are good across the board, and can help us achieve many of our healthy body goals. Many of these vitamins and supplements can have a positive impact on the appearance of our body, skin, and hair.
